Pasqua 2023
In occasione della Santa Pasqua 2023 vorremmo chiedere solo Salute e Pace.
Salute perchè senza di essa tutto il resto non ha senso. E mai come in questo periodo anche per la nostra piccola isola, questa parola ha assunto un significato particolare.
La Pace perchè da oltre un anno abbiamo una guerra sul nostro continente che causa morte , distruzione e profughi, di cui noi a Lampedusa abbiamo già una esperienza ventennale.
Tutti i giorni arrivano sulle nostre coste persone in fuga da contesti di guerra , di fame, di povertà. Tutte con una motivazione forte per lasciare il proprio paese in cerca di una vita migliore. I conflitti sono spesso l\’origine di tutte le altre miserie ed essendo sempre voluti da chi poi non li combatte e non li subisce , rappresentano la peggiore piaga del nostro tempo, visto che le motivazioni che li scatenano sono sempre legate ai soldi e al potere.
Noi possiamo solo augurarci che tutto questo finisca presto e si viva finalmente nel dialogo e nel rispetto dell\’altro.

Easter greetings 2023
In the occasion of Easter 2023 we would like to ask only Health and Peace.
The Health because without it everything else is meaningless. And never before has this word taken on a particular meaning even for our small island as in this period.
Peace because for over a year we have had a war on our continent that is causing death, destruction and refugees, of which we in Lampedusa already have twenty years of experience.
Every day, people fleeing war, hunger and poverty arrive on our shores. All with a strong motivation to leave their country in search of a better life.
Conflicts are often the origin of all other miseries and since they are always wanted by those who don\’t fight them and don\’t suffer them, they represent the worst scourge of our time, given that the motivations that trigger them are always linked to money and power .
We can only hope that all of this will end soon and that we finally live in dialogue with respect for each other.
